Hi, I’m Louise.

I’m a mum to 3 (now grown up) children, a gran to 2 gorgeous boys and a qualified Early Years Practitioner.

Since qualifying in 1992, I’ve worked in a variety of early years and school settings, including within an additional needs unit, so I have lots of experience in providing engaging learning experiences to enhance children’s early learning and development.  I love to learn and I’m constantly updating my knowledge and skills, keeping up to date with the latest early years practice and research.

I’ve been using Makaton on and off for 35 years and have used signing with both my own family and the children I’ve worked with to enhance their communication and language development and as a tool for integrating our little learners with additional needs within mainstream nursery.   I have a real passion for encouraging children’s early language development and I’ve recently become a Licensed Makaton Signing for Babies & Families Trainer.

I love to sing, read and have fun and I’m really excited to meet you and your wee ones and get exploring!

Hi, I’m Kristy and I’m one half of Explorer Tots.  I am a mum of 3 creatively, energetic children aged between 9 and 1. My background is in science and I’ve taught in schools across Scotland since training as a teacher in 2011.  I love seeing that instinctive inquisitive nature that children have and watching the little lightbulb moments when they learn something new.

I completed my yoga teacher training while on maternity leave with my first child back in 2013, mainly for my own personal development but loving teaching, I started teaching classes in and around Helensburgh shortly after qualifying. I trained in Pre- and Postnatal yoga with baby yoga and baby massage soon after and continued my learning in subsequent years with further training with Birthlight, Yogabeez and To Baby and Beyond.

I’m someone who continually loves to learn new things and flex my creative muscles. I’ve enjoyed meeting so many families over the years and seeing their little yoga babies grow up (and seeing them on the school run!) and I can’t wait to meet many more in our new classes enjoying lots of fun, new experiences together.
